Pregnancy is a time of beauty and anticipation…except when it isn’t. An achy back, round ligament pain, swollen ankles, etc. are no fun. Let us help you. Body Heal Therapy is a place to uncover relief and joy in your changing body, allowing you and your baby to share precious moments of peace and connection. You’ve been working hard Mama – it’s time to let someone take care of you for a change.
Prenatal Massage is intended to provide nurturing and support for mother and baby during their time of growing together. This offering is a calming side-lying flow to support deep relaxation, tension release and increased circulation. With awareness of the baby, techniques for the hips, glutes and abdominal areas are utilized supporting digestion and an increased flow of nutrients in the body.
Gentle range of motion and stretching movements are used to relieve pressure, ease discomforts and bring balance. This encourages openness and stability as the body is navigating changes with a growing baby. Lymph drainage strokes, craniosacral holds and acupressure techniques are used for additional support. As a time to go inward and connect with your baby, a prenatal session can be a centering part of your pregnancy journey.

Prior to the session you will digitally submit a detailed health history form. At the top of our session we will have a conversation reviewing the information gathered and find out how I can best support you. We will discuss several facets of your lifestyle and health in addition to defining any goals and answering any questions you have for me. During the session you dress down to your comfort. You will be supported in a side-lying position with comfy pillows, a sheet and blanket, as needed. The side-lying position helps avoid undue pressure on a growing abdomen and the lower back. With the support of the pillows the hip, knee and ankle are kept on the same level to avoid pulling on the sacroiliac joint and to maximize blood and lymph circulation. A robe is on hand in case you need the restroom during the session.
