About David Phillips

Areas of focus

I focus on pain management and performance, with a specialty in complex pain and injury or surgical recovery. My training allows me to take a multi-system approach to wellness, often allowing me to treat cases that have had little success elsewhere.

My approach

Fascia is the key. So often overlooked, fascia is a complex tissue that impacts multi-system organization, cyclical inflammatory responses, and complex pain syndromes. Understanding its histology and how to treat it has been key to my success with clients.

How I came to this work

I came to this work at a very young age. I knew I wanted to help people and found my way to massage school at 19 years old. I’ve been on a journey since, training with some of the world’s best teachers. My role as director and clinical lead instructor at NCSAB also allows me to stay on the ground floor and help lead the next generation of therapists looking to heal the world.

Techniques I often use

Myofascial release for muscles, arteries, lymphatic vessels, organs, and bones, Functional exercise and rehabilitation

What I love most about my work

Helping to guide people back to a place of authentic healing and wellness.

What you can expect

A focused, present, expert touch that can guide you through the body pain-free, releasing tension and leading the body to a place of authentic wellness and rehabilitation.

Thoughtful Care. Structured Progress. Lasting Change.

Every Body Heal session follows a clear, intentional process designed to help you move better and feel better — not just temporarily, but sustainably. While each therapist brings their own style and specialty, the foundation of care remains consistent across our team.

Conversation & Clarity

We begin by understanding your history, goals, daily demands, and current symptoms. Pain rarely exists in isolation — context matters.

Assessment

Your therapist observes posture, movement patterns, and areas of restriction to understand how your body has adapted over time. This helps guide treatment decisions with precision.

Targeted Bodywork

Hands-on techniques are selected based on your specific needs that day. Sessions may include therapeutic massage, myofascial work, neuromuscular techniques, or movement-based integration.

Progression

For many clients, real change happens through thoughtful follow-up. We help you determine a plan that supports steady improvement without creating dependency.
